What is the AILET Vacancy as per the Programme?
B.A.LL.B.(HONS.) [FIVE-YEAR PROGRAMME]
A total of 110 seats are vacant for AILET merit-based selection
There is no AILET requirement for foreign nationals and OCI/PIOs, but they must achieve 65% marks in the exam for the credential to be awarded.
In addition, there will be two vacant seats for Jammu residents and one for Kashmiri migrant workers
LL.M. [ONE YEAR PROGRAMME]
The number of seats is 70 out of which ten are on AILET merit and five seats each will be available for foreign nationals as well as OCI/PIO for immediate admission.
It is important to note that the AILET is not applicable to foreign nationals, OCIs or PIOs.
Surplus seats: One seat will be assigned to Kashmiri migrants as an additional seat.
Ph.D. PROGRAMME
As of now there are 142 seats available in the programme: (5 seats for UGC-JRF, 5 seats for AILET Merit, 4 seats for Fellowship through AILET Merit, and 2 seats for Foreign Nationals).
Candidates who are enrolled in the UGC JRF program and foreign nationals are not required to take the AILET.
As per the UGC guidelines and authority, this rule should be followed as much as possible.
